The Vacuum Box Testing activity was conducted on 30 December 2025 at SPCI, Gebeng, by RBPS staff as part of scheduled inspection and maintenance works. This activity forms an essential component of the company’s ongoing efforts to ensure the integrity and reliability of storage tank systems in accordance with industry best practices.
The primary objective of this activity was to carry out a bottom tank inspection, focusing on the detection of potential leakage, defects, or weaknesses on the tank floor. Vacuum Box Testing is a widely recognised inspection method used to assess weld seams and critical areas, allowing for early identification of issues that could compromise operational safety if left unaddressed.
All inspection works were performed in compliance with applicable technical requirements and safety standards, demonstrating RBPS’s strong commitment to maintaining high levels of operational safety and asset integrity. Through proactive inspection and preventive maintenance activities such as this, the company continues to support safe operations, minimise operational risks, and ensure long-term reliability of its facilities.
